Its the October Roll the Dice Challenge I think Danielle is trying to drive me nuts. Six photos.. like what?? haha but that wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be only two stickers about drove me bonkers as I kept wanting to add stickers! But I think I pulled it off.
I used Jen Hadfield’s Warm & Cozy collection This is such a fun collection I do love the pewter pieces in this collection. I put my six photos together as a single print which I liked I had less to fuss over what to put where. and I used the word “relax” sticker and the small green left on the left corner. I think it came out well. Remember if you need to go shopping use my code to save 20% off your total
Simple Stories Posh is in the product spotlight at Paper Issues and what a fun line this is. I love the colors and that it isn’t limited to one type of craft. If you scrapbook its great, if you do PL its great if you are a planner..hey its great! I had some fun with this and followed a theme of feathers. Grabbed a cut file from silhouette and showcased my little boy who just rocks my world.
Doesn’t that picture just make you smile!! I thought this 3×4 card was perfect for my little dude because he is possible. This is a great line to have fun with if you haven’t grabbed it already head to the store. Don’t forget to use my code for 20& off your order.
Its a whole other challenge for Mix it up.. so that means time to get messy my most favorite thing to do. This challenge called on the use of a stencil in a different way. And I decided to try something I never did before.
The first thing I did was cut a stencil using a blank stencil plastic that I picked up at Michael’s. I used the deep cut blade (set at 20, pressure 33, speed 3 and double cut) to cut out this free cut file at Paper Issues.
I then used a piece of water color paper and outlined the stencil with a pencil and used water color to fill in the squares.
From there I used a black sharpie to outline the squares.
I had something in my head when I started all of this but as I went along things didn’t translate well on paper . I wanted to make a boy LO and thought the colors would go with the Crate Paper line but it did not work out in any way shape or form. I then dug in my stash and ended up in a place I never thought I would go using frames of all things. Yes I had a package of frames from Simple Stories Life in Color that ended up on my page.
I’m not even sure how I got here and one point wanted to just scrap it and start all over again but I must say I do love how it came out. I added more of the stencil as I went along I think that was one of the best things of working with a stencil this way. The frames took on a life of their own and a few embellishments along the way really pulled this LO together. I added a cut out the same as the stencil just a little smaller in white to break up some of those really bold colors in the background.
Yes this is really busy, lots going on and so much movement and that sums up our day at the zoo which I documented here. I really loved working with the stencil like this and I can see it being a great way to add flowers or swirls to any LO that I feel just needs a bit more.

Its another week and another line to put the spot light on at Paper Issues. This week its all about take me away. Its a great soft line with bits and bobs that are diverse and should get your creative juices flowing. I wanted to pick up on the purple in this line and use some of the flowers I picked up at Hobby Lobby. They have these paperish sort of flowers that I liked so I thought I would give it a go and I believe it worked! And I even got to add a straw!!
I just loved the pieces of gold in the line and look I used the couch! I think this came out perfect and was a great way to showcase me and the man who gave me rabbit ears. :sigh: Love these soft colors? Well go ahead fill your cart don’t forget to use my code for 20% off your order.
Its a new month and time for a new Issue challenge at Paper Issues. My most favorite season is fall like top of the list. I love the change with cool air, the changes in leaf colors, getting outdoor with my family, and wearing sweaters. As I type this it is 90 degrees outside so fall is long over due. But never the less I did dig in some of my fall pics to scrap some fall in the hopes it will come and soon.
I used Pebbles Woodland Forest line which I have such fun with every time I use. I love the wooden pieces in this line its a great way to tie the theme together. I also love all the little woodland animals SO FUN. If you haven’t grabbed it you should its perfect for all your fall pics. Remember if you need to go shopping use my code
