When I first saw Mary-Ann’s Pinspire challenge I zoned right in on the ice cream. Which is a given considering my youngest son is a total ice cream fanatic, chocolatte to be precise. He won’t eat much to speak of, in fact he is the pickiest eater I’ve had but hes all in for ice cream especially chocolate.
The Beach Day line by Carta Bella is absolutely perfect for all ice cream and summer related LOs. I added some of Color Cast Designs wood and perfected it with the Ice Dream template by Fiddle Dee Dee Designs and it was an easy LO to put together.
Big thumbs up to ice cream and this LO. I added some straws of course because it gave it some balance. I also turned the paper for the stripes to be on the side again it was a balance thing in my eyes. A few acrylic stars and a title..complete!!
And welcome to a whole new Issues Challenge for Paper Issues. I love this challenge and was so excited to get a LO completed. The theme.. Gleam Catchers all those people or things that stand out and shine. I had to show case my oldest daughter who just graduated high school in June and is on her way to college. This girl shines, shes such a good one, and a humble compassionate soul I am just so happy for her and about her. I used a lot of flowers and made it ultra girly with a touch of gold in keeping with the theme.
I had a lot of fun tucking flowers every possible place I could on this page. What helped me out was the folded corner which means I could tuck a few more things in there. I used up my stash with Maggie Holmes Bloom collection. I still have a lot more in my stash to use up I’m sure I’ll get to do so because it is such an easy collection to work with.
So get your LOs done and added for this months drawing and showcase the gleam catcher in your life. And remember if you need to go shopping..use my code 🙂
A new month of challenges at Paper Issues means another month of fun. I love all the challenges but I do like to give my silhouette a work out. This month was filled with choices and I decided to go with the dream catcher. Now granted I’m traveling so I have limited supplies and this did not turn out as I had originally expected it to, but I totally love the cut of the dream catcher. It can be a lot of fun, either super size it or keep it small its guaranteed to be wonderful
I used my water color paints to bring in the colors of Shimelle’s Starshine collection. I even brought in my youngest daughter to help and that was probably the best part about this LO. So get to cutting and enter all this months challenges at paper issues.
