I found a picture of my youngest two kids on my phone. It was one of those that needed to be scrapped. I’m sure my youngest daughter didn’t intend on that end result but that will teach her to act crazy and leave evidence.
There are a few things going on as I created this LO. One is I got this Currently bits from Paper Issues with no clear intent on what I was going to use them for. But that hasn’t ever stopped me from purchasing something before. So when I saw they had silver and these awesome silver straws arrived at my door I knew it was a marriage.
I also used some old Studio Calico kit that should have been broken down a long time ago. But the silver doily and the colors of the papers all went perfectly. I added in some silver and white string I had in my stash and this was the end result. This was such a fun LO to do. When I saw Mary-Anns mood board challenge at Paper Issues well I knew I had to scrap the good eats I had in Istanbul. I wasn’t a huge fan of Istanbul other then the weather and the food. I’m not a crowded city kind of gal but I am all about souqs and food. So I scrapped turkish delights and the wonderful apple tea which I couldn’t get enough of while there.
I also love browns it is the perfect color to get messy with and get messy I did. I kept the tones neutral and brought in some silver to go with the food coma acrylic which from Color Cast Designs. I tell you if you haven’t shopped her acrylic well you must now.

I love to give my cameo a work out, I especially love that Paper Issues has free cut files and challenges to go with it every single month. I have not been disappointed with a cut file and this month is no exception. I mean who can not love triangles!!!
This was so fun to do and I’m sure it shows. I used Simple Stories Lets Party to showcase my little dudes 8th Birthday. The embellishments in this line are just so much fun. If you don’t have the collection you should its so versatile for boys or girls, young or old. And don’t forget if you shop use my code for 20% off your total order
I snapped this pic of my youngest daughter who is going into sixth grade next year. I was just realizing she’s getting so big, time certainly has a way of getting past us. I had to scrap it and when I saw cheryls super awesome templates for iNSD it was a perfect fit. Put it together with the soft colors of Fancy Free and it all seemed to come together so well.

I love cheryls dressed down templates because there are just so many that will give my cameo a work out. Its simple to import and cut and not have to put major thought into design but with templates of course you can make them your own with simple changes.
I used a metal key I had stashed and added some flowers and its simple and gorgeous. I love how this page is show casing this picture and not element heavy. Such a fun page for me to do. The journaling is all about who my daughter is right now.

I’m playing along with Mary Ann over at Paper Issues and her Take 5 challenge. I love this challenge because it is so easy to pick and choose and play along easily. If you haven’t tried it you should! For this challenge I chose: red, a frame, chip board, a title and black. And I used Simple Stories Life in Color line. It was a great choice for the 5 things I chose.
I wanted a lighter bkg than some of the papers I had but white was just too white. So I used some watercolors that I picked up and blotted the yellow over a stencil. I think it was a nice touch but not too much. I also used a digital template by Simple Scrapper which makes my scrapping life so much easier.
